have the power of accepting or rejecting the salary scales proposed by the Governor of Hong Kong, before any decision is reached, and we are very much hoping that you and the other women members of the Education Advisory Committee will think our request that no alteration for the worse be made in the women teacher's salaries and prospects, to be fair, just and reasonable, and be willing to help to put our case before

hope that the formation of a Colonial Education Service this year may be an additional reason for their considering very carefully the salary and prospects of all its members, and for ensuring that in no colony do they fall below the standards of equity and justice which have become well-established in
